Avatar!!!!!!

I am amazed by the revolutionary CGI in the movie Avatar. Couldnt help but do a painting of it. I have been putting time on and off to work on this piece, finally its finished(hopefully lol). Respect to James Cameron.

Oil_Painting_Study

Did an oil painting study on the weekend. Not quite sure how to handle actual brushes, since I have been using tablet pen everyday now. Reference the artist Leonidafremov, who uses knife instead of brushes to do oil paintings. I love his bold and saturated use of colors.

This is a tonal study of the buildings. Tried to practice the lasso tool technique, it really gives a clean cut of the edges. Maybe i will go further with this painting.
